GCA Centre / Fellows' Home: Libraries, Function Rooms, Bedrooms, and Garden
The Global China Academy Centre is also known as the Fellows’ Home. In principle, it is open free of charge to various types of GCA Fellows and other visitors. Fellows and their families can use it free of charge for a week (see the Fellowship Benefits for details). Any time beyond this is exchanged for volunteer work. We welcome scholars associated with the Global Chinese Academy (GCA), GCA friends, and other visitors to either provide volunteer work or other resources, including donations to the Academy. These contributions can be used to support publishing uncensored work on China by the Global Century Press, the Global China Dialogue series forums, and occasional events at the Centre and elsewhere.
The Global China Academy Centre is situated in Northwest London. It sits just inside the green belt that encircles London and is away from the immediate hustle and bustle of traffic. Within a few minutes’ walking distance from the Centre, there are the Mill Hill Golf Club, Moat Mount Open Space, Moat Mount Outdoor Centre, and Scratchwood, an Ice Age oakland. Although it is 10 miles from Central London, several commuting options are available (see Visit us). We offer free local pick-up and can also arrange transportation to and from airports. Please schedule your visit in advance by reaching out to us (Please complete ‘Contact Us’ form for any requests at the end of the GCA homepage).
