Stephanie Yao Gou,GCMA is the Project Manager at the Global China Academy (GCA) and an ESRC-funded researcher at Storytelling Academy, Loughborough University(UNESCO Chair in Storytelling Education for Sustainability) . As CIMA-qualified specialist in change management, governance, and strategic planning, she possesses nearly 20 years of experience across Fortune Global 500 companies and leading UK research organisations.

Her industry background includes senior financial and strategic roles at MetLife, Iveco, and Engie Cofely, where she led cross-border restructuring and transnational reporting. Within the research and regulatory sector, she facilitated budget management and funding applications for national research initiatives at Health Data Research UK (HDR UK) and supported the financial oversight of strategic system implementations at the British Board of Agrément (BBA).

A specialist in transcultural communication, she has spent 14 years as a featured columnist for Air China, Hainan Airlines, and China Southern to facilitate bilateral cultural exchange by interpreting Western cultural shifts for Chinese audiences. Her work has involved extensive collaboration with European bodies, such as VisitScotland, the Edinburgh International Children’s Festival, Culture Liverpool ，Deutsche Märchenstraße and Carnaval de Nice, to profile cultural fusion through interviews with pioneering designers, artists and scholars.

Her current work utilises Participatory Action Research (PAR) to explore social resilience and institutional dialogue.  Her academic research was selected by  2024 Digital Storytelling Festival, and at the 12^th International Digital Storytelling Conference in São Paulo,

She is a regular speaker at the London Book Fair, translating Chinese policy and educational literary themes for global audiences.  Since 2014, she has also held board-level oversight of institutional KPIs and strategic resource allocation as a School Governor in the UK.

勾尧现任全球中国学术院（GCA）项目经理，并担任英国拉夫堡大学叙事学院（联合国教科文组织“可持续性叙事教育”讲席单位）由 ESRC 资助的博士研究员。作为具备 CGMA（全球特许管理会计师） 资格的专家，她在变革管理、治理及战略规划领域拥有近 20 年的深厚资历，职业生涯横跨世界 500 强企业及英国顶尖科研机构。

她在工业界拥有广泛的背景，曾在 大都会人寿 (MetLife)、依维柯 (Iveco) 及 苏伊士 (Engie Cofely) 担任高级财务与战略职务，主导跨国业务重组与跨境报告体系。在科研与监管领域，她曾负责英国健康数据研究院 (HDR UK) 国家级科研项目的预算管理与资金申请，并参与监督了英国建筑产品认证委员会 (BBA) 旨在优化运营效率的战略系统实施。

勾尧连续 14 年担任中国国际航空、海南航空及中国南方航空的特约专栏作家，致力于通过解析西方文化动态来促进双向文化交流和跨文化传播。她的工作涉及与多个欧洲机构的高端协作，包括苏格兰旅游局、爱丁堡国际儿童节、利物浦文化局、德国童话之路及尼斯狂欢节，通过专访前沿学者、艺术家与设计师深入探讨文化融合。

她目前的研究采用参与式行动研究 (PAR) 方法，探索社会韧性与机构间对话。其学术成果曾入选 2024 年数字叙事节，并受邀在圣保罗举行的 第 12 届国际数字叙事大会 上发表。

她致力于向全球受众转译中国政策与青少年教育类文学主题, 多次获邀为伦敦国际书展的演讲嘉宾。自 2014 年以来，她还一直担任英国校董，在董事会层面行使对机构关键绩效指标（KPI）及战略资源分配的监督权。
