Professor LI Yang FGCA

Professor LI Yang, Academician of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences and Academician of the International Eurasian Academy of Sciences, as well as a former Vice President of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences. His research approach is unique, combining domestic research with international studies to gain an in-depth understanding of the issues in China’s economic operations and reform processes. In academic research, Li Yang has profound expertise in the fields of finance, macroeconomics, and fiscal policy, making significant contributions, especially in monetary theory, financial regulation, capital markets, and fiscal policy. He founded the Institute of Finance and the National Institution for Finance and Development under the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences. He has published over 500 papers, authored numerous books, and led over 200 research projects, providing theoretical foundations for China’s financial reforms and macroeconomic policy formulation. Li Yang has received numerous academic awards both domestically and internationally, including the Lifetime Achievement Award in Financial Studies in China and the Zhang Peigang Development Economics Award, establishing himself as a pioneer and leader in the field of fiscal and financial research in China.
