Ingrid Cranfield
President
Ingrid Cranfield 英格丽德·克兰菲尔德 BA (Syd.), PGCE, QTLS, MSET, FRGS, LLG (Enfield), is President and Principal Editor of Global Century Press. She served Chair of GCA Board of Trustees (2021-23) and,Honorary Secretary of Global China Academy Council (2021-24).
She is the author of 14 books and many journal articles and has edited thousands of books, articles and other works, in print and online. She was Deputy Mayor (2013-2014) and a councillor (2010-2014) in the London Borough of Enfield. For more than 30 years, Ingrid was a school governor in London and a trustee of a development training organisation.
An author, editor, translator and lecturer, Ingrid Cranfield began her career at the Royal Geographical Society, which holds the world’s largest private map library, accessioning maps and advising researchers and authors. She was a Senior Editor on The Dictionary of Art (Macmillan), specialising in the art and architecture of Japan and China. She has taught English to college students and been a lecturer and supervisor of trainee teachers and a visiting lecturer at the University of Hertfordshire. She devised, led and taught (2005-2010) a course in editing and proofreading, the only one of its kind in a further education college in the UK. She is currently a consultant and editor to some international companies and private clients and archivist, translator and publisher of her family’s history.
