for the Global China Dialogue (GCD) Series Forum
The 10th Global China Dialogue (GCD X) — Governance for Global Education
Date: Friday, 5 December 2025
Venue: The British Academy, London, UK

The Global China Academy (GCA) cordially invites institutions and organizations worldwide to join the 10th Global China Dialogue (GCD X) as partners. As an annual high-level international platform, GCD addresses major global challenges from interdisciplinary and transcultural perspectives, exploring issues through Chinese and comparative lenses.
GCD X focuses on “Governance for Global Education” and will convene representatives from academia, government, practice, and civil society to engage in in-depth dialogue on education amid digital transformation, cultural diversity, and international cooperation. The Dialogue also advocates comparative perspectives on education systems and governance cultures, examining cross-national differences in policy, institutional models, and developmental paths to promote intercultural understanding and global community building in education governance.
The Global China Dialogue is a long-term, institutionalized dialogue platform, supported by a core partnership network consisting of its organizing committee, supporting institutions, and sponsors committed to global governance issues. To streamline coordination, existing partners will be deemed continuing participants by default unless they notify us otherwise. Their partnership status and associated privileges will be retained for each Dialogue.
Each Dialogue is theme-specific, addressing emerging global challenges of relevance. Accordingly, new institutional partners with relevant expertise are invited to contribute to the planning, organization, and implementation of each edition.
This dual structure ensures both the continuity and institutional depth of the GCD and the thematic flexibility needed to support dynamic and inclusive engagement across sectors.
GCD X consists of four thematic panels:
- Global Education Policy and International Cooperation
- Educational Equity, Inclusion, and Quality Assurance
- Governance Innovation and Technological Empowerment
- Education Financing and Sustainable Development
