Professor QIAN Yufang
Associate Fellow of Global China Academy
Professor QIAN Yufang 钱毓芳教授 is a Professor at Zhejiang Gongshang University, School of Foreign Languages, serves as the Director of the Institute of Corpus Linguistics and Discourse Studies and is a Ph.D. supervisor. Her research interests encompass discourse studies, corpus linguistics, and related fields. With three published books to her credit, she has been recognized with the third prize for outstanding research achieve ments in the sixth National University Outstanding Research Achievements Award by the Ministry of Education. Additionally, she received the second prize for outstanding
achievements in the 21st Zhejiang Provincial Philosophy and Social Sciences Award, as well as the second prize for outstanding achievements in the 17th Jiangsu Provincial Philosophy and Social Sciences Award.
Professor Qian has contributed over 30 papers to esteemed journals such as Foreign Language Teaching and Research and Corpora, both domestically and internationally. She has played leadership roles and actively participated in more than 10 national and provincial research projects. Currently, she leads a sub-project of a major national social science project, the Chinese Academic Translation project of the National Social Science Fund, and a significant cultural research project of Zhejiang Province.
Furthermore, Professor Qian serves as the co-chief editor of the Chinese Discourse Series by the Global Century Press in the UK, the editor-in-chief of the international journal Corpus Approaches to Chinese Social Sciences, the vice president of the Discourse Research Committee of the China Comparative Study of English and Chinese, and the executive director of the Corpus Translation Studies Committee. She has been honored with the title of Outstanding Teacher in Zhejiang Province。
