Mark Lee
Secretary and Graphic Designer
Mark Lee has been an editorial graphic designer at Global Century Press (GCP) since 2014. At the GCD7 in 2021, Mark made a presentation on Global Century Press’s English–Chinese bilingual transcultural typesetting. In addition to his graphic design and typesetting work on dual language transcultural products with GCP, Mark also helped design the GCP website, edited the GCP House Style Guide, drafted GCP’s Open Access Policy, and the contracts for GCP’s journals and contributors of journal articles, books, and contributors of book chapters. Recently, he wrote GCA’s Fundraising and Donations Policy.
Moreover, Mark has worked for over twenty years in academic, trade, and STEM areas for publishers around the world, including Routledge, Wiley, and Blackwell Publishing. He is the art director for Equinox Publishing, and a director of ‘Artful – Make It Happen’, a social enterprise that combines identifying and creating opportunities for community engagement with support and professional development for artists and makers. He is also an artist and printmaker who works in digital and traditional media.
