Professor WANG Xin 王鑫教授, PhD, Head of Department of Communication, College of Arts and Media, Director of Research Center for Chinese Discourse and Global Communication at Tongji University. She is Visiting Scholar at City University of Hong Kong, Senior Visiting Scholar at University of Westminster, UK. Research intrests includs Media Culture, Cross-cultural Communication, Communication Theory, History of the Idea of Communication. She published over a hundred research papers and the author of Commercial Press and the Enlightenment of Modern Chinese Women (2016) and The Road to Mutual Understanding and the Stone from Other Mountains: A Study on the International Communication of Chinese Culture (2023). She is editor or contributor to various series including Contemporary Media Theory from a Global Perspective (2023), College Aesthetic Education (2023), Media Criticism (2018 to present), Ontology of Art (2020), and Communication and Media Cultural Research Method (2017), Fifteen Lectures on Media Culture (2017). She has led research projects funded by the National Social Science Fund of China, including ‘BBC Documentary on China and the External Communication of Chinese Culture’ and ‘International Communication Research on Chinese Ritual Culture from the Perspective of Civilizational Interactions’.
